Description
2x WW1 Trios both correctly impressed. Both brothers hailed from the Nelson region & were accomplished shots . In 1907 they were both members of the Waimea Rifle Club that won the Nationa Rifle Ass. Imperial Challenge shield (compteted for by the best shots in the Empire). John Buschl was employed as a sniper at Gallipoli , until the Turks located his position & mortered it. John was buried under sandbags & his eye was damadged , putting paid to his sniping (source family member) .
Lot comes with photos , 1907 Waimea Rifle club challenge shooting medallion named to J Busschl , discharge photos , War service cert & Bible.
