NZ Long & Efficient service medal engraved HBR Rishworth Late 9/66 Corps of NZE (1920).
Rishworth born in Reefton 1891 , was educated at Auckland Grammar . A main body man , serving at Gallipoli then France . Was commisioned & transferred out of the ranks to serve with the Royal Engineers were he won his Military Cross . LG 4/4/19 . Citatation reads ;

" He was in command of two cable detachments laying the main trunk lines forward in the recent advance from Le Cateauu-Lanreccies- Dompierre . His lineswere continually well in front of his alloted points, and it was entirely due to his resoursefulness, energy and fine example to his men that the division was in telephonic communication with all its brigades throughout these most difficult and highly important operations ".
