Description
1914/15 star correctly impressed 3/280 WO2 W Ralston NZEF. Scarce Gallipoli MM winner (First day lander ?) . LG 11/1016 reads " Coolness & good work under heavy shellfire at landing at ANZAC and in the August fighting .Also did good work at Helles ". Ralston spent 5 years overseas & was in the thick of the turmoil at Gallipoli ( Landing 25/4/15 ?, Chunuk Bair ? the Daisy patch ?) .Well worthy of further research.
