Correctly impresssed BWM VM pair & dog tag to 68742 RFLM J Monteith NZEF . Monteith a21 yera old bootmaker from hristchuch stood 5'2 . A 21 reinforcement
with the NZ rifle brigade , had prewar experience in senior cadets. In 1918 a court of enquiry was held into an ankle injury (self inflicted injury) . Evidence was presented that Monteith lept a trench & sustained injury . He was absolved of responsibility , with injury being accidental. Medals VG with original ribbon.
