Memorial Plaque in original cardboard packet & condolence certificate . Awarded to 49261 Prictor James Alfred . Prictor a warehouseman from Invercargill was K.I.A 28/3/1918 during the German "Operation Michael " offensive & was killed when the NZ Division was rushed into the line to stem the breakthrough of the Gderman divisions . Prictor was killed in the vicinity of Colincamps along with around 500 NZers in the 10 day period. Fresh from Etaples bullring in late December 1917 , Prictor lasted 3 short months in the front line.
