Description
Scarce WIR Trio correctly impressed 10/996 Cpl S.Northey NZEF . Northey a 33 year old Chemist who hailed from Napier , left NZ with the main body . Killed in action 8/8/15 when the 760 Wellingtons defended Chunak Bair , with only 70 returning . Northey is commerated on several memorials & a good photo of him is in Volume 4 of Potraits of the NZEF . Also comes with named Gallipoli plaque (official late issue c 2000) & a relatives modern NZDSM medal . NZDSM named to ; 568417 GNR BG Northe RNZA.
